Ukraine Dispatches

Volume 1 2022

THUS did Winston Churchill serve notice upon the British People and to the World on Tuesday 18 June 1940.

Hitler was contemptuous. Europe lay defeated, prostrate at his feet.

Watching Vladimir Putin in his extraordinary rant, initially against Ukraine, but mainly against the West upon the illegal and internationally condemned annexation of four parts of Ukraine, that one line rushed to my mind.

Putin knows that he will have to break us,
the People of Ukraine,
in our own Country, independent Sovereign Ukraine or lose the War.

Putin will lose the War.

Two excellent ‘long reads’ are this article here by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan on 20 September 2022, and its analysis by Stefan Hedlund here and this second article confirms the government’s decision to ratify and change back the name of Kazakstan’s capital city, here.

All is clearly not well within the Russian Federation. We find, too, evidence of Putin’s spite that is equal to Adolf Hitler’s spite, against anyone who dares to challenge.

The sight of the corpses of Russian troops in Lyman is, to Vladimir Putin, as impervious and unimportant, as the sight of German corpses to Adolf Hitler.
