Ukraine Dispatch 7 | NATO Stop Hiding Behind the People of Ukraine!
Ukraine Dispatches
Volume 1 2022
I
NATO must take affirmative action.
If British, German or French aircraft shoot down Russian planes in a No-Fly-Zone it means that those three countries are at war with Russia.
That merely promulgates what has already been rolling out before our eyes ~ World War III, that history will record started on 24 February 2022, just as history records that World War II started with Germany’s Invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939, and which was promogulated on 3 September 1939, when Great Britain and France declared war on Nazi Germany.
It is not a case of playing into Putin’s hands. The Free World did this in 1940 when it played firstly into Hitler’s hands, and then became the victim of trickery by the Japanese regime.
II
Britain stood alone during 1939-1941, doing that which the People of Ukraine are doing right now, but with one essential difference.
Whilst we bore the brunt of the Blitz that killed over 40,000 civilians in 1940, we had not been invaded. We also had air supremacy and maintained this throughout the Battle of Britain, leading to Hitler’s ‘postponement’ of Operation Sealion, that maniac’s planned invasion of Britain, which history informs us was not postponement but abandonment.
III
Ukraine is bearing the brunt of air strikes; heavy artillery barrages and withstanding Invasion waged without mercy on the civilian population. Offered a humanitarian corridor, the people find that despite the Russian Defence Ministry’s assurances, Russian Forces then continue air strikes and artillery barrages, and target cars and buses, cynically blaming casualties on the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It still took Pearl Harbor to bring the USA into what was already World War II. Americans often overlook this, presuming that the world war commenced only at 7 am Eastern Pacific time on Sunday 7 December 1941.
In 1940-41, over 40,000 civilians were killed in the air raids on the United Kingdom Blitz, yet still, the American People prevaricated.
After Pearl Harbor America entered the war.
As a result of the firm and decisive leadership of Britain’s wartime leader, Winston Churchill, President Roosevelt managed to carry his country in accepting that Germany must be dealt with before Japan. This meant hindering the prosecution of the war in the Pacific. FDR knew that Hitler had to be defeated before the Allies could deal with the Empire of Japan. Nevertheless, that meant that many American lives were lost in the war in the Pacific Theatre. Timelines have no respect for diplomacy.
The War in the Pacific raged even as the War in Europe raged.
IV
The arrival of the US Army Air Force (USAAF) in Britain in 1942, their bases being set up in England, was hugely welcomed by the British People, though the British public was not so welcoming when told that ‘the big boys are here now!’ But hey ho.
This is the situation we have in Ukraine.
We should not hide behind the very convenient clause whereby NATO cannot engage because it is entirely a defensive organisation. People will not forgive the vacillation of NATO leaders, including President Biden, if their vacillation causes the fall of Ukraine.
To stand by and watch thousands of people on the receiving end of Russian air strikes or shelled by Russian heavy artillery is a war crime.
President Zelenskyy is right to speak bluntly. Churchill needed to speak bluntly on more than one occasion to the USA.
V
There comes a moment when the free world has to face up to the bully and tyrant and say:
“Enough! No more!!
Now we will deal with you.
And if it means total war, then so be it!”

Afterword
Last week, a BBC Panorama Report released by its team embedded in Mariupol during the siege, stunned viewers with confirmation of what we had all along feared
but could not obtain confirmation or verification. At the programme’s end, the presenter confirmed that the Ukraine Government estimates that upwards of 25,000 civilians were killed in Mariupol alone, adding that the citizens
of Mariupol take the view that this figure is more likely to be upwards of 30,000.
