Autumn 2026

Part I

Born in Cheltenham, I am a Gloucestershire, Lancashire and Liverpool-based writer, my interest being Poetry, History, Nature, the Arts which commenced with my first work Idle Thoughts in Liverpool in September 2009.

In this Twenty-first Century, I learn much if I keep my eye focussed on my own Century.

Born in 1953, my careers were well established long before the arrival of the word-processor, then the computer, then the worldwide web and the cellphone… before pitching us all headlong into the social media revolution. And this SMR is often very violent, as malignant as the most vicious cancers. In 2026 we are coming to terms with the permanent presence in our lives of artificial intelligence.

This is a very violent age although it has not yet reached - on a world scale - the horror of the Second World War, excepting those nations that find themselves under attack.

Themes tend to centre upon self-discovery and identity.

4 Bluitt & Bodgitt about a Solicitors Practice in Liverpool, humorous with an unexpected twist exposing flaws in human nature.

5 QUINTUPLE published on this website. This marked a watershed moment.

6 ELMFIELD ROAD & WINDSOR STREET DAYS A personal recollection written only for my family, hence the manuscript - parts only - appearing, occasionally, on this website.

Analytics suggest it is popular, and by this helpful website app I maintain course, and within sight of that line where sky meets water.

If I live only in the moment, without regard for the past, for my immediate past relatives, and further back by ancestors, then shipwreck is inevitable. That is so for us all. Only with advancing years do we begin to see the crucial importance of navigational back-readings. Some never learn this. For them the going will be tempestuous, and they have only themselves to blame.

Part III

The European Game

Since September 2025 the website hosts the European Game in partnership with Braunsberger GMbH. We cover many subjects. Visitors select the country of interest and participate in a game set to ‘Level Difficult’, the aim being to encourage in depth research.

Part IV

Galleries

There are up to seventeen website galleries showcasing visual art and multimedia, digital galleries created by me using the mid-journey digital program, and short video features; only three galleries are publicly accessible at any one time.

I move and change gallery-content, so that over say two years most of the content briefly sees the light of day. The galleries are for my enjoyment. I have no interest in serving the fractionalised general public whose notion of self-discipline is shaped by social media.

The tone is literary, contemplative, often personal, but also - as in the Dispatches - my reaction to events.

2026 ~ 2027

This is when I look at the ugliest apparitions of human nature the world over, and see nothing more than two gargoyles occupying the Kremlin and the White House respectively. These men will not go in the glory they so desperately seek for themselves and that each presumes to be their justified destiny.

In 2026 - 2027 I keep in focus that other dictator who came to an abrupt end beneath a Berlin Bunker in 1945.

In regard to these two gargoyles, let the people decide through the genuine ballot box.
