‘Fallen? Or What We Would Prefer To Think?’
An imagined conversation … its main thrust being to remind me how preconceived ideas, lessons mistaught in infancy and later, leads to completely unfounded prejudice.
‘Fallen? Or Is It What We Would Prefer To Think?’
He's fallen
I knew he'd buckle
Never had it in him
Black winged...

Not good
He's destined for oblivion
along with the rest of the
One Third all told
that took their stance with satan!
What was it he said?
Who?
Lucifer, the Fallen!
Oh! He said that he would
be like the Most High
he would ascend
even above the stars of heaven!
"I will be like the Most High
I will ascend above the stars of heaven..."
Yeah. That's right
And he then went on about us falling down
to worship him.
Ha! He's destined for oblivion
except that Oblivion doesn't exist!
Eternal awareness, not oblivion, blackness!
We’re the two-thirds
Imagine if we weren’t
It doesn’t bear thinking about

What is this?
Do you all not see who this is?
He is Michael, the Great Archangel
He is gathering his strength.
Did you not see the battle in the heavens?
He was contending with Lucifer
over the body of Moshe
Yes but...the wings
They're black
Surely that signifies...
It signifies nothing
They are beauty
Is is not written of Mashiach
'eyes darker than wine,
teeth whiter than milk'?
Have you seen the beauty
in eyes that are black?
No!
These wings are beautiful
And mark well Michael's admonition
to satan
He recognised his former status...
As Lucifer he had once been pre-eminent
It was not for him to rebuke direct
Rather he contended and said
'The LORD rebuke you!'
Ponder that.
Now as for this angel
This 'fallen angel'
as you say...
Even if he were not Michael
he would not be one of the one third in rebellion
It is one thing to fall in rebellion
It is quite another to fall as here on this cliff face
He has fallen merely to gain respite
to gather his strength
There are many like him
Of the Powers and Principalities
Guard well this knowledge
and act upon it

The Great Wings, black
shimmering as with a raven
drew a great arc in the sky
He paused, poised,
glanced at his enquirers
then lifted off
and was gone
They stood quietly in deep contemplation
Each holding within their circumference
the folds of their wings
white
resplendent
and they acknowledged the lesson
now learned
and then they too were away
There was work to do
and they were inspired afresh
by something else
An assurance that contrary to teaching,
there are no losers
