COFFEE, ART AND LITERATURE GALLERY

COFFEE, ART AND LITERATURE GALLERY
Art and Literature are fundamental and essential to every community of people, however small, testimony to every country in the world. A gallery is testament to that community, its evolution and history. Those who argue that only their gallery is the true gallery, run parallel to that group of people who insist that the being they worship is the “one true God.” They are in dangerous proximity to that terrifying and discredited principle ~ Eugenics.
“Eugenics is
the study of how to arrange reproduction within a human population to increase the occurrence of heritable characteristics regarded as desirable. Developed largely by Sir Francis Galton as a method of improving the human race, eugenics was increasingly discredited as unscientific and racially biased during the 20th century, especially after the adoption of its doctrines by the Nazis in order to justify their treatment of Jews, disabled people, and other minority groups.”
When I visit a gallery or museum it is to enrich and widen my understanding, and to learn about the community of people, the nation, that it represents. No community has the right to insist upon first place. Learning this lesson is to record humankind’s total failure to ever grasp this point in every century since life as we know it began. Once upon a time I naively believed that this lesson was now being learned. But as I watched the last century bludgeon into this 21st Century, and then have watched day by day, and it seems also hour by hour, this century’s ultimate unravelling, then I observe that ‘the writing is upon the wall’, yet again.
In whatever nation or community, when the first hint of attack upon art and literature is observed, we witness the lighted taper that will explode into a conflagration. That is the time to take swift action.
A practical example. I abhor what Russia is doing in Ukraine. I despise what is happening in the Middle East. Does that mean that I want to see Russia fall, its incredible art and literature, science and physics become ashes? Absolutely not. And so, too, is my view and reply as regards Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen and North Korea, and China.
I am though well aware of three enormous elephants in the room. America, China, Russia. They are this 21st Century’s axis of evil. Worsened by an idiotic people who believed that life is being an Apprentice and being hired and fired. They have sown the wind. Now they will reap the whirlwind.
That is why the Galleries on this website are so important. It will not be otherwise.
