Around the Gallery 2

TODAY the barometer touched -16°c in Scotland. In Southern England, here, it is -2°c but feeling like -6°c. Ah! That’s why my first coffee of the day, always outside, was very short. By the time I had made sure that the tiny pond’s ice had been cracked and Hamburg was safe deep down below, Jack Frost was gripping my legs … blimey! It’s colder than I thought. I’m going in.

The snow that fell four days ago is still frozen in place, and Svetlana sits quietly by the pond, with only her cloak of frozen snow to cover.

Why Svetlana?

Well, she is very beautiful, and she is my daily reminder to think about the People of Ukraine.

Bye for now …

YESTERDAY the barometer touched 30°c here briefly and 34°c in London. Today it touched 13°c here! And much rain.

In Spain it exceeds 40°c and in Koblenz and Urbar in Germany, it rests at 40°c.

Time to cross the road, pop into the gallery and have another wander. Then, refreshed, enlightened, and aware again that there is a wider world out there, I’ll take the afternoon off, grab a tram and work a bit from home.
