Ukraine Dispatch 26 | Ukraine Counter Offensive

These images on prime-time BBC News beamed tonight, Monday 30 August 2022, both on BBC National News and also on BBC World News, sending a very clear message to the Sovereign Nation and People of Ukraine.

Ukraine Dispatches

Volume 1 2022

I

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are Professional Armed Forces.

When a conscripted army with outdated fighting methods relies upon brutality and genocide to make up for their deficiencies, then the enemy will be weighed in the balances and found to be wanting. And because of the brutality of war, many of these poorly trained, ill-equipped, ill-fed, terribly led soldiers will lose their lives.

Why? Simply because of one man in the Kremlin.

II

The British People stand united with the People of Ukraine.

I am 69 years of age and am proud of my service with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve post-war. Being of this age, however, also enables me to now fully comprehend that which my parents and four grandparents dealt with first-hand.

And the Ukraine Armed Forces currently training here in the United Kingdom, do so in the full knowledge that in a few weeks they will return to full front-line duties in the defence of their Homeland, their Culture, their Language, their individual being, their Independence.

III

This morning, Tuesday, 30 August the BBC reports that advances by the Ukraine Armed Forces are swift.

We know that the first line of Russian defences was broken three days ago by the Ukraine Armed Forces. Bridges have been taken out and Ukraine’s advance upon their beleaguered occupied city of Kherson moves fast.

Russia
A Pariah State
and now
a Rogue State.

I understand how a country and nation become a pariah state. To Nazi Germany, the British People constituted a pariah state. It is what each side will say of the other. We do not escape the fact that a large part of the world community regards Russia, thus.

It is only a short step from pariah to rogue.

Russia has weaponized Energy in its effort to subjugate Ukraine.

Its top-down military command structure is something that one used to read of in cheap comic strips. Now, it is burning off excess Gas, i.e., the gas supplies it has in stock but cannot sell.

IV

Russia has no interest in Climate Accords. It has no interest in the welfare of our Planet. It IS interested in its aim to wipe out the nation-state of Ukraine and then, notwithstanding being members of NATO, to move against all nations, now part of the European Union, that had been subjugated by Soviet Russia and forced into its totalitarian empire.

Vladimir Putin is bad, not mad. He is, it is suggested, sensitive to his own position on the world stage. A glimmer, perhaps?

The excellent article by Matt McGrath, the BBC Environment Correspondent says it all in his excellent article here.

This is what the world is up against when a pariah nation-state also becomes a rogue state.
