Revenge la femme ~ 2023

Revenge la femme
Revenge
A terrifying prospect
in the hands of a vengeful woman.
To such a woman
the longer the reckoning can be stayed
the greater is her sense of satisfaction
and ultimate, if perchance,
her victim be a man.
When in Eden
HE asked one simple question?
A question with the force of nuclear fission…
What is this you have done?
And it was the woman He addressed
not Satan!
A tingling, spine-chilling allegory,
not literal.
Now take this to the level of MAGA
Replace the woman with ‘the Quiffe’,
Replace the victim with the American People.
Now go further back.
Descend to the level of 1933.
Replace the Quiffe with a Moustache
replace the vctim with the German People.
Is religion the antidote?
Of course it is not.
How can fairytale resolve such terror?
The long dark night approaches
Soon the curtains will draw across the Stage
The War in Ukraine will seem
like tots squabbling in Kindergarten.
Build the wall!
Build the wall!!
We need protection.
Build the wall!!!
But you have the wall.
Look! It stands.
But, alas, you have brought this
upon yourselves.
You saw no reason to repoint the wall.
When a wall is not repointed
the wall will fall down.
When the storms rage
the walls will cave in.
You are the authors of your own downfall.
Downfall will be gradual for some,
sudden for most.
It will come in the form
of your most violent nightmares.
But they will no longer be nightmares.
They will be the new reality.
Nature Alone
will remain.

His website, kennwebb.com, showcases his work as a writer, blogger and podcaster, resting on his successive careers as a police officer, progressing to a junior lawyer in succession and trusts as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, a retired officer with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, and latterly, for three years, the owner and editor of two lifestyle magazines in Liverpool.
He also just handed over a successful two year chairmanship in Gloucestershire with Cheltenham Regency Probus.
Pandemic aside, he spends his time equally between his city, Liverpool, and the county of his birth, Gloucestershire.
In this fast-paced present age, proof-reading is essential. And this skill also occasionally leads to copy-editing writers’ manuscripts for submission to publishers and also student and post graduate dissertations.
